Harbour Hope Cancer Support harbour notes

Inside our monthly impact report (Demo)

A transparent fictional update showing how charities can report reach, limitations and learning—not only headline numbers.

DEMO REPORT — All figures below are fictional and exist only to demonstrate the platform.

This month, the Harbour Hope demo records 312 support conversations, 146 volunteer-supported trips and 89 counselling sessions. Numbers can show scale, but they do not explain quality on their own.

What we would measure

A real report could track response time, service reach, referral sources, repeat requests and whether people found the support useful. It should also explain what the data does not capture.

What we learned

In this fictional example, regional callers waited longer for transport matches. The service would respond by recruiting in two priority areas and testing earlier appointment reminders.

Where funds would go

The example budget allocates most spending to direct services and trained staff, with smaller portions for safeguarding, technology, administration and community outreach. Clear categories help supporters understand the infrastructure behind safe care.

What comes next

Next month’s demo update would report whether transport wait times improved and publish both successful and incomplete actions. Transparency means showing progress without pretending every problem is solved.
